Sofitel Old Town Wroclaw
Modern Luxury in Historic Poland

Picture
As with every hotel we choose on our trips, we were looking for excellent location and upscale comfort in Wroclaw, Poland.  We found both of those at the Sofitel in Old Town Wroclaw.

The modern luxury hotel is only a few yards off the beautiful Market Square and across from the historic Gothic Church of St. Elizabeth.  The well situated location of the Sofitel meant we could spend our down-time enjoying the restaurants and terrace cafes in the colorful square with only a short walk back to the hotel.

As you enter the Sofitel property, you first encounter an expansive atrium filled with shops which leads you to the welcoming lobby and reception desk.

The hotel has a relaxing bar area where you can have a last night-cap before retiring for the evening and chat with other travelers. We definitely took advantage of this.

The room was a peaceful oasis with a small seating and desk area.  We were welcomed with a lovely array of fruit and chocolate almost too beautiful to eat.

I must say, the television was placed in rather odd location on a swivel so that it could be viewed from either the sitting area or the bed, but it was definitely a clever use of the space!

The bed was large and very comfortable and the bathroom sparkling clean, with warm robes, slippers and luxe toiletries provided.

The breakfast area which is located in the Pan Tadeusz Restaurant, overlooks the atrium and we enjoyed several efficient and delicious buffet breakfasts during our stay. Pan Tadeusz is one of two restaurants in the hotel which serve Polish and International Cuisine in the evenings.

Since we spent every day on our feet exploring Wroclaw and the surrounding countryside, we didn't feel the need for the Gym, but do I wish there had been time for Spa!

One more note……The Sofitel offers on-site underground parking which was another reason we picked the hotel.  Parking accommodation is always a high priority to think about when planning a driving vacation!

We enjoyed the Sofitel Old Town Wroclaw and would definitely recommend it for your stay in Wroclaw Poland.
